The banking and financial industry, both commercial and Islamic, faces increasing challenges to which it should respond efficiently and effectively. Among these challenge are the service revolution, deregulation, privatization, globalization, interest rate and market price volatility, Islamization, mergers and acquisitions, new techniques for asset/liability and liquidity management, management of credit and trading risks, Basel-II, computerization and the technological revolution, severe competition, new branches, both virtual and physical, etc..
To offer state-of-the-arts solutions, the Center for Banking and Financial Consultancy provides the following services, based on contracts with the beneficiaries:
- Drafting the consultancy assignment, its objectives and components, in light of a preliminary survey report.
- The nature of the consultancy services provided.
- Phasing and time-table for the execution of various areas of the consultancy assignment.
- Responsibility for training and supervision of implementation, after the completion of the assignment.
- Compensation for consultancy services, and the method and schedule of payments.
- Date of completion, and consequently, the termination of responsibility.
- Any other clauses or conditions to be agreed upon with the beneficiaries.
The Center is about to sign new consultancy contracts for 2007 in several Arab countries covering computerization, comprehensive reorganization and modernization

contracting directly. It cooperates with a diversified network of expert institutes and firms, within the Arab world and abroad, through consortium agreements and sub-contracting, maintaining complete integration of the consultancy assignment.
