The main objective of the Center for Banking and Financial Research is the preparation and issue of the Journal for Banking and Financial Research and the preparation, writing, translation into Arabic, and publication of academic and professional books. The Center, which was established in 1992, serves the banking and financial industry, in particular, and economic sectors in general.
The Center issues the Journal of Banking and Financial Studies which is unique in the Arab world due to its dependence on the Arabization of up-to-date financial and banking studies in association with more than 132 international academic and professional periodicals. This is in addition to the publication of research papers written in the Arab word. Each issue of the Journal includes a selection of studies that attract the world's attention and respond to the needs of banks, financial institutions and markets, and Arab government agencies
The Center adopts a clear strategy for the preparation, Arabization and publication of academic and professional books to be used in education and training in the Academy's institutes and colleges and in Arab universities and institutes. These books are classified into specialized series, such as banking, Islamic banking, financial markets, investments information systems, and other areas.
To provide financial support to the Center's activities, the Academy's Board of Trustees decided in 1993 to establish the "Research and Publication Support Fund". The Academy participated in financing the first stage before it opened the door for donations by banks, institutions and companies. This is in addition to the revenues realized from subscriptions and advertisement in the Journal and the sale of books.
