- How is CLBB attained?
The CLBB certificate can be attained upon
passing the CLBB
exam that
is held twice a year (May and
October) at the Arab Academy for Banking and
Financial Sciences head
office in Amman or any of the
AABFS's branches in the Arab Region.
- Work Experience:
Minimum of two years work experience in the
field of Credit.
- Recommendation letter
A letter is required from the direct supervisor
of the qualifier verifying his/her experience
- Work Ethics form
The
candidate is required to sign a work ethics form
prepared by ICB and CCFB

questions to be taken in
three continuous hours (calculators or any
other tools are not allowed).

- Credit Analysis
You must have a thorough understanding
of accounting,
evaluation of repayment ability
(using historic and projected
financial
information in addition to non-financial
factors such as
management ability, ownership and
organization), cash flows, collateral
and guarantees.
- Ethical and Regulatory Issues
You must understand the entire spectrum
of federal laws
and regulations, the Uniform
Commercial Code, lender liability,
environmental liability, bankruptcy
and ethics.
- Banking Products and Services
You must possess knowledge of both
credit and
non-credit products and services that
relate to business customers as well
as identification
of prospects and
sales/negotiation techniques.
- Loan Structuring for Small and Micro-
Business
You must have knowledge of how to
identify and
select appropriate loan structures,
repayment sources, pricing,
collateral,
covenants and conditions, documentation and
credit enhancements.
- Problem Assets
You must know the "early warning"
symptoms of
problem assets, how to develop workout
strategies, how to re-evaluate
collateral, how to
classify a loan as well as allocation
parameters for reserves and
bankruptcy
repercussions.

Continuous Education
Each certified member will be required to
realize 50 training hours during the three years
following passing of the
exam to enable him/her to renew his/her certificate
after the three years have been concluded, To assist
