The Computer Labs
of the Financial and Banking Sciences
College in Amman are made up of six (6) modern
Labs; each lab contains twenty-one (21) modern computers connected to each other through an
advanced intranet. These labs were offered
as a grant from the Islamic Bank of
Development in Jeddah – KSA, the EU, Fastlink
and Reuters.
The Labs are connected to the Internet
through a leased line; the same line is used by
both instructors and students to review the latest
studies and published research which they
make use of in their studies and scientific
research. The Academy has a subscription
to the EBSCO e–Library which provides articles
that are published in thousands of
sophisticated global magazines.
The mainframes in these Labs have been
developed to provide a space for the
students to save their daily work
continuously, in addition to providing a
personal e-mail address for every student. Access to
these files and e-mail address from anywhere
outside the Labs of the Academy via internet
is also provided in order to help students save effort and time and to maintain communication
with their instructors and provide access to
particulars of the academic materials.
The Labs include a number of important
programs and systems for the students, such
as
“Rational suite” - a software for
modeling and designing computerized
information systems using UML.
In addition, the Academy Labs contain
simulation models and other various systems
and applications which are of help to the
students.
The Academy is keen on moving forward step by step
with the different advancements related to
equipment, systems, instruments and
software which might help achieve the best
results and expand
communication between the Academy and students, even after graduation.
