Duration and Advising
It takes holders of a master's degree in banking and financial sciences approximately (36) continuous months to finish his/her degree, during which the student must complete (36 credit hours) of course requirements, and (18 credit hours) for the dissertation. Holders of a master's degree in specializations other than banking and financial sciences may take longer time to complete their course requirements depending on the number of prerequisite courses they may have to take to make- up for their previous inexperience.
Registration Requirements:
Completing an application form.
Submitting two copies of each of the Bachelors and the Masters degrees and all relevant transcripts officially accredited.
Paying a non-refundable application fee.
All above-mentioned documents are a non-returnable property of The Faculty of Banking & Financial Sciences.
Graduation Requirements:
The PhD Degree is granted by the Council of Deans upon the recommendation of the Faculty Council after fulfilling the following requirements:
Successful completion of all degree courses.
Passing the Comprehensive Examination in its two parts: the written and the oral.
Submitting a TOEFL (or an equivalent test result) with a minimum score of (550).
Preparing an 18 credit-hour dissertation in the language specified by the supervisor of the dissertation, then successfully defending it before an assigned committee.
Providing the Academy's library with (8) final copies of the dissertation and its synopsis, in addition to the copies belonging to the president and the members of the committee. All copies must be printed at the expense of the student.
Publishing at least two scientific researches in a refereed scientific journal or conference.
Completing the dissertation's (18) credit hours.
Completing the faculty's other graduation requirements.
