The Arab Academy has placed great emphasis on its
relations with its members, both institutions
and individuals, and
exerted all necessary efforts to create and develope effective
channels of inter-communications. In the same frame work, the Arab
Academy has established a special item for student's membership in
addition to the existing institutional membership and individual
membership types:
By the end of 1992, the number of Arab Academy Full Members was
61, while in 1993 the number of Institutional Members became 74
and Individual Members became 121. In 1996, Membership numbers
jumped to 214 for Institutional Membership and 983 for
Individual Membership. Both numbers increased in 1997 to reach
228 institutions and 1190 individuals versus 240 institutions
and 2100 individuals in 1998. After restructuring the
managerial system of Membership through Office Automation in
1999, the number of Member institutions
became 280 and individuals
became 2730.
At the Beginning of the New Millennium, member institution was
280 while individual members were 3119 for a
total of
3399.
In 2001, the number of Arab Academy Members
totaled 3540 with
321 institutions and 3219 individuals. In 2002, the
number
of Arab Academy Members was 3750 with 330 institutions and 3420
individuals. In 2003, the number of
Arab Academy Members was 3970 with 345 institutions and 3635
individuals.
The year 2004 witnessed an increase in overall memberships of 6120
members) which was due to the free memberships granted to AABFS's
students. Memberships included 360 institutions, 3760 individuals,
and 2000 students. In 2005, the number of AABFS's members reached
8348 with 368 Institution, 3792 Individuals and 4188 students.
In 2006, AABFS achieved another increase in total number of members,
which reached 10875 including 383 institutions, 3815 individuals and
6677 students.
